April Urban
Woman of Faith, Joy, and Unshakeable Loyalty

Meet April. She has become one of my dearest friends—my Bestie. She was one of the very first women I met when we moved into the neighborhood twelve years ago, and from the moment we connected, it felt effortless and God‑sent. I was immediately drawn to her carefree, say‑it‑like‑it‑is personality, the way she welcomed you without hesitation, and how she accepted you exactly as you were. No judgment. No masks. Just pure, genuine love.

Over time, our bond deepened. We discovered that while our journeys weren’t identical, the bumps in the road we faced were strikingly similar. April has never been shy about her faith. She speaks openly about God’s goodness, His grace, and how grateful she is for where He has led her. Watching God move in her life has been one of the greatest blessings—like witnessing His hand at work in real time.

April is the kind of friend who will pause her entire life to show up for you. She jumps in with both feet and refuses to leave your side. She gives without holding back, and even when she puts herself on the back burner, God continues to bless her—over and over again. Seeing Him prosper her businesses (Sincere Therapeutic Massage and Real Estate Agent) not once, but twice, has been nothing short of incredible.

She is a wife, a mother, and a grandmother, carrying each role with grace, joy, and a heart full of love. Her family is her anchor, and her faith is her compass.

Read April’s testimony below, and if you want to follow her journey and see where God is leading her next, you can find her on her socials. Her story is a beautiful reminder of God’s faithfulness, His restoration, and the power of a woman who chooses to walk boldly in her purpose.

April's Story

I was born in New York in 1969, and not long after, my mother moved us to Daytona, Florida. She was a single mother who worked tirelessly to give me the best life she could. My relationship with God began early—at seven years old, I accepted Jesus Christ as my Savior, and at nine, I was baptized. Even as a little girl, I had a deep hunger to know Him. I wanted to understand His Word, His heart, and His ways.

I was so eager to learn that I would ride my bicycle to different churches in the neighborhood, listening closely to every sermon. If something didn’t make sense or didn’t sound right, I would ride home and ask my mom endless questions. I didn’t want secondhand faith—I wanted to know God for myself.

But at twelve years old, life shifted dramatically.

My mother was diagnosed with terminal multiple myeloma. While other children were simply being children, I was learning how to be an adult. I took care of my mom, rode my bike to the grocery store, went to school, came home, and did whatever needed to be done. When she was hospitalized for long periods, I stayed with the Borden family. I was grateful, but nothing replaced my mom. Every visit to the hospital became a treasure—precious moments I held onto tightly.

At fourteen, I was moved again, this time to live with the Riley family. Those two years were long and heavy. Then, just one month before my sixteenth birthday, the moment I feared most became reality—my mother passed away.

By sixteen, I had already faced responsibilities, separation, uncertainty, and grief that many never experience until adulthood. After my mother’s passing, I was adopted by Kathleen Santi, one of her closest friends. Once again, God placed someone in my life to carry me into the next chapter.

Looking back now, I see what I couldn’t always see then: God was with me through it all.

He was with the little girl who accepted Jesus at seven.

He was with me as I rode my bicycle from church to church, hungry to learn.

He was with me as I cared for my sick mother.

He was with me on every bus ride to the hospital.

He was with me when I felt alone, confused, and overwhelmed.

He was with me when I lost her.

My childhood taught me responsibility and perseverance, but more importantly, it taught me that God’s presence is not determined by my circumstances. Even when life hurt, He kept placing people in my path, opening doors, protecting me, and carrying me forward.

My testimony is not that I lived a life without hardship—my testimony is that God remained faithful through every hardship.

And that faithfulness followed me into adulthood.

For more than 33 years, God blessed me with a successful career as a massage therapist. What began as a job became a calling. Through massage therapy, God allowed me to use my hands to bring comfort, healing, encouragement, and peace to others. Every person who walked through my door was someone God placed in my path. I learned that true success isn’t just about building a business—it’s about serving people with love, compassion, honesty, and integrity.

Then God opened another door and led me into real estate. For the past few years, I’ve been honored to help families find a place to call home. There were challenges, moments of uncertainty, and times when I didn’t know how things would work out—but God did. When one door closed, He opened another. When I felt discouraged, He reminded me that His timing is perfect.

I believe God has a purpose for every season. My decades as a massage therapist taught me how to listen, care, and serve from the heart—qualities that now guide me in real estate.

I don’t take any blessing for granted. Every client, every opportunity, every closed transaction, every lesson, and even every challenge—I give all glory to God.

My prayer is that God continues to use me as a vessel to bless others. Whether I’m helping someone feel better physically or handing a family the keys to their new home, I want everything I do to reflect His love, grace, and goodness.

I am a wife, mother, and grandmother, and God has been faithful in every role. He has carried me, strengthened me, and shaped me into the woman I am today.

I am not finished—God is still writing my story. I trust His plan. I trust His timing. And I believe the best is yet to come.

“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” — Philippians 4:13
